Assistant/Associate/Full Professor and Teaching Faculty Positions
in the Department of Technology and Society at SUNY Korea
The Department of Technology and Society at SUNY Korea invites applications for
Assistant/Associate/Ful Professor and Teaching Faculty Positions to start in Spring 2023 or Fal 2023,
in al areas of Technology Management, including but not limited to the areas of
Smart Communities: Smart Cities, Smart Regions, Urban and Regional Planning, Energy
Infrastructures, Waste Infrastructures; Environmental/Social Impact Assessment Skil s;
Smart Education: Artificial Intel igence, Big data, Digital Teaching and Learning Skil s; Pedagogy
Design for Online Platform-Based Learning;
Smart Ethics: ESG, CSR, Leadership Awareness of Wider Ethical and Policy Concerns in Evaluation
of Technological Systems and Anticipation of Future Problems in Them; and
Smart Development: Information and Communication Technologies for Sustainable Development
(ICT4D).
(a) Tenure-Track Faculty Position:
Successful candidates must have earned a Ph.D. degree from a US institution in Technology
Management or a closely related field with a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate
education. Fluency in English as wel as some experience within higher education in the USA, such as
teaching, research, or other academic-related work in an American university are essential.
Current positions are targeted at the Assistant/Associate/Ful Professorship levels. We seek
candidates with the potential to develop significant and international y recognized research programs,
actively contribute to the core undergraduate teaching missions of the department, and who wil serve
the university and the community.
(b) Teaching Faculty Position. An Excel ent ful -time teaching faculty member is sought at junior or
senior level. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree from a US institution in Technology
Management or a closely related field and exhibit a strong commitment to teaching. Engaging in
research is encouraged but not mandatory.
