SUNY Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pegatron Korea on April 24th at Pegatron Korea’s headquarters located in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province. Pegatron, headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, is a global semiconductor company that manufactures products for major companies in computer, telecommunications, and consumer electronics industries.

Having recently establishing a research and development hub in Korea, this mutual agreement serves as a starting point toward expanding technological and talent exchanges between South Korea and Taiwan, while also strengthening research and educational collaboration.

Through this agreement, the two institutions have committed to collaborations including: joint research in wireless communication and artificial intelligence (AI), student internships, active knowledge exchange through joint seminars, programs, and lectures to strengthen professional skill development.

President Arthur Lee stated, “This MOU is beneficial for both SUNY Korea and Pegatron as our students and faculty gain hands-on industrial experience, and Pegatron secures a foundation for exchanging talent with global competencies. Moving forward, we will continue to broaden our education reach through collaborations with world-leading companies.”

This agreement is part of SUNY Korea’s ongoing efforts to expand its partnerships with outstanding companies both domestically and internationally, providing students with practical, global education opportunities.
