AuthorAdministrator REG_DATE2021.12.07 Hits220

On May 9th, 2018, BUS Department had a special guest speaker from Green Climate Funds, Ayaan Adam.

She is the Director of the Private Sector Facility in Green Climate Funds. Green Climate Funds is a new global fund created to support the efforts of developing countries to respond to the challenge of climate change. GCF helps developing countries limit or reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to climate change. It seeks to promote a paradigm shift to low-emission and climate-resilient development, taking into account the needs of nations that are particularly vulnerable to climate change impacts.

With the lead of Paris Agreement in 2015, it is set up by 194 countries who are parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. They ask for accredited entities to fetch projects so that they can fund the project in order to create an eco-friendly environment in the developing countries.

Thank you all for participating in this seminar with well prepared questions for the speaker to answer. We hope that the business department students will come out more frequently to hear the guest speaker. It is a beneficial event for the students to hear these speakers and learn to take initiative in the events provided.

With that being said, we want to thank you all for coming out once again. Please continue to show your full support for the upcoming BMS seminars.
