BMS Lecture Series: Mira Kwak

On November 21st, 2018, BUS department held its third BMS (Beautiful Mind Speaker) lecture series with the speaker Mira Kwak, the founder and President of Art Chaosmos. 

The main topic was a future driven by transhumanism.

In this talk, she emphasized that individual humans will struggle with balancing independence and solidarity, while society must simultaneously support inclusiveness and impartiality. She said that within Transhumanism movement, these values can be enabled with the technologies. And also, as a computer scientist, she introduced her unique vision of Smart Environments, where artificial intelligence is woven into how we work and live. 

Thank you for coming and showing your support. We also thank for the speaker for coming and giving us this great seminar. This was the last BMS seminar in Fall 2018. BMS seminars will continue to hold place in Spring 2019, too! :)
