Koren Jo is an assistant professor in Business Management at SUNY Korea. Prior to joining SUNY Korea in 2023, she was an assistant professor of accounting at Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2015. She holds a B.S. from Arizona State University, an MBA from New York University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas. She has also worked for companies such as W.P. Carey Inc., PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Ford Motor Company and is a US CPA. Currently, she serves as an advisor to the Korea Accounting Standards Board.

Her research interests include examining the effectiveness of financial disclosures and the impact of accounting standards. She enjoys teaching both financial and managerial accounting.
